Terms.
The terms for buying and using Outbound, and for using this website. They are written to be read. Where they say "we", they mean the person who makes Outbound.
Last updated 28 October 2026
1. Agreement
- These terms apply when you buy Outbound on this website, use the Outbound app, or use outbound.edbn.me. By doing any of those, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't buy or use Outbound.
- The License and the Privacy policy are part of these terms.
- You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
2. Who we are
- Outbound is made and sold by edbnme ("we", "us"), based in India.
- You can reach us at outbound@edbn.me.
3. Outbound and your license
- Outbound is a live wallpaper for Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 13 or later. Check that your Mac meets these before you buy.
- Buying Outbound gives you a personal license to use it on up to three Macs that you use. It is a license to use the app, not a sale of the app or its code.
- Your license key is for you. Don't share, sell or publish it. You can move it between your Macs from Outbound's Settings or your customer portal.
- Outbound's source code is public so you can read it, learn from it and help improve it, under the License. Running Outbound as your wallpaper needs a license, whether you downloaded it or built it yourself.
4. Buying on this website
- Outbound is sold to you by Polar, the merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, charges and pays the tax, sends your receipt and invoice, and handles refunds and payment disputes, under Polar's terms as well as these.
- It is a one-time payment, with no subscription.
- Your key appears on the thank-you page, and stays in your customer portal, which Polar's receipt links to.
- Use only payment methods you are allowed to use, and give accurate billing details.
5. Prices and offers
- Prices are shown before tax, in your own money where we offer it, or in U.S. dollars. The tax due where you live is added at checkout.
- A price marked as limited-time is a discount we may end, or change, at any time without notice. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
- Changes to prices never affect what you have already bought.
6. Refunds
- If Outbound doesn't run on your Mac, or isn't what you expected, email outbound@edbn.me within 14 days of buying it and we'll ask Polar to refund you in full.
- After that, payments are not refundable, except where the law says otherwise. Refunds are made by Polar, to the way you paid.
- If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another place with a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase, you have it as the law sets out. Because Outbound is digital content you can use straight away, that right may end once you start using it, where the law allows.
- A refunded or charged-back purchase ends the license it paid for, and its key stops working.
7. The Mac App Store
- If you got Outbound from the Mac App Store, you bought it from Apple, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your use of it, together with sections 9 to 20 of these terms where they don't conflict with it.
- Apple handles its payment, updates and refunds. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for Outbound and its support.
8. Your city
- Your city is a painting of a place you choose, made for Outbound by the person who makes it. It includes Outbound itself.
- After you buy, we'll email you to agree on the place. It usually takes about a week from then.
- If we can't paint the place you choose well, or you change your mind before we start, we'll refund you in full.
- The painting is for your own use within Outbound, under the same license.
9. Fair use
- Don't share, sell, rent or publish Outbound or keys for it, or get around its license check, except as the License allows for contributions.
- Don't misuse this website: no attacks, scraping or automated sign-ups, no attempts to get at other people's purchases or keys, and nothing unlawful, harmful or abusive in the waitlist or feedback forms.
- Don't use Outbound or this website to break the law, or in a way that harms others.
10. Updates and support
- We release updates to Outbound from time to time, and the copy from this website can install them. We may change, add or remove features, but we won't take away what you bought without a refund.
- Support is by email, from the person who makes Outbound. We answer as soon as we can, but can't promise a time.
- This website and the license check may sometimes be unavailable. Outbound keeps working offline for a month.
11. What's ours and what's yours
- Outbound, its code, its paintings, places and pictures, and its name and icon belong to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. Your license lets you use them as described here; nothing else passes to you.
- You're welcome to share pictures and videos of Outbound on your own desktop.
- If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Outbound, without owing you anything for it. What you send stays private, as the Privacy policy says.
12. Other services
- Outbound and this website rely on others, such as Polar, Apple, Cloudflare and GitHub, and link to others, such as X. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them.
13. No warranty
- Outbound and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including that they are fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or free of errors.
- Outbound changes your desktop picture while it runs and puts yours back when it quits. Keep your own copies of pictures that matter to you.
14. Limits on liability
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, profits or time, arising from Outbound or this website.
- As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Outbound in the twelve months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Ending
- You can stop using Outbound at any time. Quit it and drag it to the Trash.
- If you seriously break these terms or the License, for example by sharing your key, we may end your license and deactivate the key, after warning you where we reasonably can.
- Sections 9 to 20 keep applying after a license ends.
16. Consumers
- If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live, which apply whatever these terms say, and you may bring proceedings in that country's courts.
17. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to their conflict of law rules. Subject to section 16, the courts of India have jurisdiction.
- If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems are solved quickly that way, and we'll try in good faith for at least 30 days before either of us goes further.
18. Changes
- We may update these terms, for example when Outbound or the law changes. The new version will be here with a new date at the top, and applies from then on. Changes never apply to a purchase made before them in a way that takes away what you paid for.
19. General
- These terms, the License and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Outbound and this website.
- If any part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part straight away, we can still do so later.
- You can't transfer your license or these terms to someone else. We may transfer them if Outbound passes to a new owner, who would be bound by them.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices to you go to the email you bought with; notices to us go to outbound@edbn.me.
20. Contact
- Questions about these terms: outbound@edbn.me.
